Beauty in Adversity

There is an abundance of beauty in my life, every day and in so many things. Sometimes beauty can be fogged or covered up by challenging situations and overwhelming circumstances, but it still survives. In my life recently I have found this in my community of Minneapolis, where we are facing many difficulties and tragedies from ICE agents targeting my neighbors. It has been difficult and overwhelming, but as I continue to stand up for my community I am consumed by the beauty of thousands of other strangers coming together to protect the same neighbors. This has made me realize that even in the face of adversity, beauty can be found.
